What is the Big Bend Bluegrass Association?
Our Mission
As a nonprofit organization, the Big Bend Bluegrass Association encourages the promotion, preservation, and enjoyment of bluegrass, old-time, and traditional gospel music in the Big Bend Region of Far West Texas through public performances, workshops, educational programs, and historic preservation efforts.
People from all over the Big Bend Region, and beyond, are invited to join BBBA at events to play or listen to bluegrass music (or both!) You will meet musicians from all across our neck of Far West Texas at our events. From the occasional closet pickers to the on-stage professionals who headline shows all over the United States. Moreover, our goal is to share our love of genre, old-time, and traditional gospel music with all who will listen. Therefore, if you are looking for any of the above, you have come to the right place! So come on out and play music with us or bring a chair and/or blanket, sit back, relax and enjoy the music!

PLAY IT FORWARD
The Big Bend Bluegrass Association (BBBA) is a licensed affiliate of the Play It Forward!® Instrument Lending Program, which was created by the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation (BHF). BBBA works with bluegrass musicians and music teachers to foster music literacy and performance skills in deserving young people (ages 8-21) by providing no-cost access to the primary bluegrass musical instruments such as mandolins, fiddles, banjos, and guitars.
